I am struggling printing a family history of 964 names and decided to check that I will have included all by comparing to a previously printed list of names.............but I can't find a method of printing a list of names that could form the index... Does anyone know if it can be done and if so , how to do it Thank you Colin |

If you click on the REPORTS icon - then click Custom - you should get a full list of people on your tree |

Should have said that like all the reports you can choose what you want included by going to CONTENTS - Items to include |

Just checked again....the Custom lists individuals in alphabetical order by christian name... what I was hoping for was to print an index using the information in View.....Index of Individuals.....but I can't print this I have found a way of printing all in alphabetical order ..but it shows parentage instead of dates of birth and death Any Clues anyone Cheers Colin |

When you click on the custom report - and then go to Contents and items to include - on the left hand side click NAME and send it to the right hand side - you can then choose the format you want name displayed in - select Last, First, Middle - you will then get your list in alphabetical order by surname. Hope you understand - not easy to explain ! |

Thanks Elaine.. It took me a while to do it and then undo my mistakes.. I eventually managed to get it in surname order .. but did it twice and it showed the name twice.....struglled and eventually learned how to get rid of the duplicate name... Correcting my mistakes also showed me how to add the Birth and death dates.. plus place of birth if I want it Thank you ...learned a lot today Cheers Colin |
