Has anybody got any suggestions? I am quite new to all this and found quite a few people in my birth family tree in the 20th Century (I'm adopted) within a day or two with (with a little help of some very nice people) And I've found it quite easy to trace maternal lines, but I seem to have a huge chunk missing many because my lots seemed to have been very mobile. My other half thinks it was poss down to the depression after the war and people moved about a lot to get work. I have so far Reginald William Endley, b 1901 in Wellington, Shropshire and Mary Jane Rumney, b1901 in Wellington, Shropshire had Mary Elizabeth Endley, b1936 in Maryport, Cumbria Then, Same Reginald then had Reginald Michael Endley, b1942 in Halifax with Mary Francis Veronica Foley, b1912, Cumbria (Reginald was obviously a bit of a sticklet for the names Mary and Reginald) Mary Elizabeth Endley (b1936) I believe married, or at least had 6/7 children with, a Mr. Carter, the youngest 2/3 girls were born in the late 60's early 70's in Nottingham But I cant find the ones before hand because they could have been living anywhere between Cumbria/Halifax/Nottingham, or lands End to John O'Groates to be honest. I know its too recent to look on census info, but I wondered how else I might find the other children and where abouts they were living/born in the 30 years between Cumbria and Nottingham. I cant find a death certificate around the time when Mary had Mary so I guess that either her and Reginald divorced or he lived over t'brush or in sin with Mary No. 2 or she was his scarlet woman or something. Its all very confusing, can anyone show me the light or point me in the right direction? Pretty Please? Rebecca :) |
