Well Lisa can you work out his likely age from your mums age? Most people marry someone a few years older or younger so that could be a start for you. Do you think he is still of an age where he would be alive? If so, you could check out electoral roles or local phone books for him?

Hi It gives his name but i,ve had no luck i think its cause i don,t know his date of birth either.

What are you actually hoping to find? Is it for family history or are you trying to find your dad? Your own birth certificate will give his name if your parents were married when you were born.

Hi Julie, No i can,t just ask cause i,ve never met my dad and i don,t really get on with my mum.But i know where and when but i,m not having much luck trying to find my dad and i thought i,d try something else

You can always look up the reference on ancestry beta bmd index. You must have some idea of the date/year - from your own age and any older siblings?

hiya, this depends on when/where they married and who they are, ie names I take it you cant just ask them for a copy? regards julie
