Hi Ann, Geography not being my strong point. Do you mean Aston as in Aston-cum-Aughton, Yorkshire, West Ridings? If so, I sent an e-mail earlier this year to Wakefield Archives and they did one free search for me when I gave them the address and name that I was looking for. They also replied with in a couple of days. Their e-mail address is Wakefield'at'wyjs(.)org(.)uk Remove the brackets and replace the 'at'. Hope this helps, Take care Debs x |

IF you have a specific address, not just an area, and you only want a one-year look up, you will probably find that the relevant library/archive will do it for you free. To find out where the rolls are, google, but usually they are in the county records office and/or central library as well as local history centres. nell |
