I don't order certificates off the internet site. I just find out which registry office it is and write to them direct, sending a cheque - which I suppose slows it down to start with, but never mind!! It was my local registry office in Lancashire. I now live in Austria so I didn't want to be waiting around. I just played the sympathy card a bit (will take soooo long and am stuck until I receive this certificate etc!!) and they obliged!! However - it does take away the buzz of receiving the certificate in the post. It's a bit of an anticlimax when it comes as you know what it is and just chuck it in with the others!! lol. |

Have you tried cheating?? I wrote off for certificates and added my E-mail address to the letter and asked them to E-mail the details once they had cashed the cheque and then I didn't have to wait around for the certificate to arrive. Once they have the cheque and have cashed it, you can't cancel it so they don't have to worry about you getting info for free. Worth a try..... |
