This could be your Abraham's death: Deaths in 1858 THOMPSON Abraham 44 Longnor Staffordshire Moorlands LON/05/19 http://www.bmsgh.org/staffsbmd but you'll need a death certificate to be sure it's the right person.

The information submitted by an LDS member is as reliable as that person. I hae found some personal submissions that checked out when I looked at the original parish records, and I've found others that were complete gibberish - people marrying their mothers for example, or being baptised before they were born. You need to look in parish baptism records to find parents for people born before civil registration began in July 1837. Sometimes these are on the LDS site, or on www.familyhistoryonline*com. Familyhistoryonline is a payperview site, so check the county databases list to see if the area and period you want are on there first. Otherwise you need to go to the county records office. nell

I have a relative, details of him on the 1851 census below. Thought I had found him on the lds site, but they are saying he died in 1828. The record of his birth and death were submitted by a memeber of the lds church. How reliable is this info, and now how do I find out who his parents are.
