Just as an add from Kate's thread about marriages I watched one of these programmes on satellite about births etc and sometimes the mother is taken to another hospital at the end of the country due to lack of NHS beds. Also bear in mind with deaths I would have thought!!! |

A friend of mine had twins in 1999 born different dates in different reg districts.....at least we don't have these things to contend with in Victorian times! Merry |

I found my 2xgt grandmother dying 200 miles away from where she lived. I sent for a death cert on the off-chance (age seemed right & the name isn't that common). Looks like she went to live with a married daughter after her husband died. I didn't know daughter's married name cos I'd not found a marriage in the right area either. The death cert had enough clues that I'd pieced it all together after half an hour on Ancestry. So - look for the rellies, especially married daughters For some reason SONS tend not to look after aged relatives LOL |

Don't be s sure about the sons, my GG grandmother Elizabeth (GRUMMITT) NIDD died in Yorkshire having lived all her life in Lincolnshire, not with my GG grandmother but with her son. I noticed the son had children born in the same area as her death. Louise |
