I have decided to buy Family Historian 3. This is because I need to print out my whole tree and post to my brother who does not have a computer. The Genes Reunited print-out would have been exactly what I wanted to achieve but its still in beta test and seems to cut out many relatives. Can anyone confirm that 1) I can export the Gedcom to Family Historian 3, and 2) that I will be able to do a print out that will include every relative even in-laws and their lines of descendancy. I realise I will have to stick all the A4 pages together but I don`t mind doing this. Kind regards, Jane |

I don't have Family Historian, but it's a major package so I am 99.99% certain that it will accept a GEDCOM exported from anything. You will need to do an import. As for printing, I'm not sure what it's capabilities are. FTM which I have is capable of doing an 'all-in-one' view which needs a paper trimmer and lots of sticky tape. I assume Family Historian can too. Lx |

Jane I don't have version 3, just version 2 with an update. You can print all relatives from a particular person or couple but it's masses and masses of pages sometimes (depending how big your tree is). I'm also pretty certain that you can import and export as when you save on Fam Hist it saves it a gedcom file. Is version 3 good then? I am quite tempted. Rachel |

Family Historian 3 will indeed print out a tree with everybody in the file on it. It uses gedcom as it's standard format and is 100% gedcom compatible so you will not have any problems importing your Genes tree into it. Trust me I'm a professional tree printer. I have been a version 2 user for quite some time, and upgraded to version 3 last weekend. I am a complete fan. 1) Family Historian is 100% Gedcom. Yes, you can import Gedcom files into it. 2) You can create and print out an All relatives diagram, but these can indeed become very very big. Mine takes up the whole of my living room floor! You can also create descendency reports as word documents, which is an alternative way of sending your research to someone, but of course this won't be all relatives. One of the very nice new features of version 3 is the ability to turn your tree into a website (which can be saved onto CD if you like). There is a Family Historain User Group (search on google), and a link from it to someones web site created using FH3. This is all very new, as FH3 is so new. |

Linda on FTM when you print out the all in one tree, is there any way of changing the title to something more appropriate? Thanks Mand |

Thank you everyone for your help. I have not bought Family Historian yet but will probably do so now. This is all because my brother refuses to become part of the `computer age`. Thank you especially to Ron - yes, I will trust you and Paul - yes, I realise its going to cover the whole of my living room floor ! Regards to all, Jane |

Well I was so impressed by the positive comments I have just purchased it myself. So expect to see me back, if I need any help with the Gedcom, never having done this yet lol. Lin |

To Ron - I`ve just looked at your website - it looks just what I need for printing my tree and the testimonials excellent. If I don`t have good results from trying to print my own, I will certainly be using your services. Regards, Jane |

Hi Jane. If you think that the Everyone tree is too large in Family Historian we have other software that will make it smaller without affecting the 'readability' of the chart. Ron www*genealogyprinters*com |
