1881 Ancestry .. Devon is it missing ?

Is Devon missing on Ancestry for 1881...? I type My family name Hunt.. born in Devon and find no matches change to Clarke born in Devon ..no matches I tried my LDS discs and found them............ Is it possible that Devon is not on Ancestry or am I making some silly mistake., |

1881 on ancestry is playing silly b****rs at the moment I think. I had trouble finding anything at all the other day. Liz |

I cannot search from the 1881 page, but if you do a search for Hunt in Devon from the home page, you get over a thousand in 1881. Liz |

Thank you for your offer of help Margaret ...but I now have the information..............I have just tried again Home page select country England 1881 type in Hunt 38,000 plus Type Devon in place of Birth ... None If you can do it then .....I just don't understand it........ |

Colin, Go to home page, type surname Hunt, country England, County, Devon. Search. All the census and other results come up, including 1881 with 1037. Click on 1881 to get names. Liz |

It is the county in place of birth on the 1881 search box that doesn't work. Try putting Devon in keywords. Liz |

Thank you both..................I have never used Keywords before but it works.............I don't understand why the system I have always used does not work but...I now have two more strings to my bow Cheers Colin |
