Can anybody find the groom in this marriage: Matilda Latham Mar.1841. West Bromwich, and could anybody tell me if it would be illegal for a widow to declare herself a spinster for a second marriage. Reason I ask is I have been unable to find a matilda latham, my gg grandmother, on the 1841 census, and am wondering if this is a 1st marriage, before she married my gg grandfather as a spinster in 1852. |

Sorry for the very late reply. Matilda was born in 1824 birmingham to joseph and mary, and I have been looking for her for some time. |
