It would be too much of a coincidence if it wasn't him. Ages on censuses are not very reliable. If I were you I would follow the family back through the censuses till you find William as a child and that should give you the most accurate date for his birth. Kate. |

PLEASE SLUETHS, i need some advice. i have William Reynolds marriage cert 1907, with age of 33 living at 109 duckett st London, Dock Labourer, with father john reynolds which makes his DOB 1874. i also have census copy RG13/334, and it states, William Reynolds as being 23 in 1901 and living in 118 Duckett st, dock labourer, with father john reynolds, which makes his DOB as1878. Are these the same people the two williams or is it two different families, and how can the figures be so far adrift,if they are the same. Can anyone explain this four year difference. |
