If the parish that you want is not on the IGI (or even if it is, but you want to check the original), then you can usually order the registers on microfilm at your local LDS centre. It can take a while for the film to arrive, but when it does you have a month to study it. Richard

Hi Elizabeth Have you checked the IGI on the familysearch.org website? There is also a lookup exchange where some people are willing to lookup parish entries: http://uk.geocities.)com/devonlookup(at sign)btinternet.)com/ (take out the brackets after the dots and add an at sign where is says at sign) You can ask the local records office to search for baptism details and if they find it send a copy of the parish register entry. I have ggg grandparents names and possible birth place in Devon. I'm in Australia. Where do I try to find if it is correct? Have tried this message board and several others. I'm looking for births around 1790s. Thanks.
