Reading the recent messages about Tribal Pages, I thought I'd 'jump on the bandwagon' & join. I exported my PAF file to Tribal but it only shows births & deaths; not baptisms & burials. Is there any way to customise the site to show these? Thanks. Glen. |

i think you would have to put it in Notes as there does not appear to be anywhere specific for them L |

Thanks Linda, the way it is rather spoils the appearance of the tree. |

None of thes things are ideal, are they? I've had a look at what you get if you pay. But it doesn't seem to help. In some ways, it makes me more likely to remove the visitor password from my pages as anyone viewing them won't get enough info to update their tree. None of the websites I've seen (GR, GenCircles, TP) is a substitute for a decent tree program on your own computer for maintaining info and being your primary source. However each has it's own advantages: GR = making links with others and hence being able to knock down a few brickwalls. TP = it's display. Ideal for showing the family what you've been up to. Especially if, like my family, they're spread half way across the world! GC = connecting with others and expanding on your tree like GR L |

Yes, I've gone to alot of trouble to obtain baptism & burial records when births & deaths have been unavailable & only enter a rough birth date when it differs greatly from the baptism date. So apart from those ancestors post 1837 none of mine show any details at all. I could alter it on site but every time I updated everything would be wiped off again. Very disappointing. Might give GC a go. Glen. |
