I have had two requests to view my tree from different members but they do not appear on my contacts, even though I have replied to them. Is there anyway around it? Lynda

Lynda I always ask for proof before allowing people to see my tree. Not just a single name, but parents etc too... Always be careful too when making contact via the Hot Matches. If you notice, under your text box is the allow access check box which you should delete if you want to keep your tree to yourself until you have a match. Elly

Thanks for tip Elly. Will be careful, but I still cannot understand why I cannot find them on my contact screen?

If you delete a message from your inbox I think you loose the contact. If you have the person as a hotmatch even one you previously discarded you can contact them again through hotmatches leaving the box ticked.

Do you have a large contacts list? if so click on date and this will bring your most recent contacts to the top of the list. Also remember that many people usre silly alais names so you can't always tell who is who. If all else fails send another message to the person which should make them appear in your list.

The name in the contacts list is the first name in the tree i.e. a woman's maiden name. Their screen name is probably their married name or a nickname.
