Anyone searching for relations here should try www.bartononhumber.btinternet.co.uk They have 1891 census of Barton, and a link to the parish records back to 1538.

Thanks for that Stephen, My father's side of the family are from Barton and I would love to look at the parish records. Lynn : ) I've just been on the site, it is very interesting. The address is actually www.bartonuponhumber.btinternet. I xouldn't see how to get to parish records though.

Thanks for that tip. Some of my relatives come from there. There is a nice lot of information to look at on this site. Jane
