I've been using the Faststone Image Viewer for a couple of weeks now and find it excellent. I still use Picasa for photo album sorting, but Faststone is a much more powerful image viewer and editor. One feature that is particularly useful for geneologists is a one click magnifying glass feature which allows one to magnify a document, move it with the mouse a little like the image viewer for Ancestry documents. It also seems muich faster and more intuitive for general editing and annotating of pictures than comparable software I've used. You can download itfor free from http://www.faststone.org/ Wade |
