i was just doing some copying & pasteing, when my pc froze and there was a beep then the curser wouldn't move! couldn't do a reboot, so had to switch off from the mains and start again, then everything was ok, i did a scan earlier and nothing on it!! chris.

Probably got too much on the clipboard. It happens sometimes , especially during a copy & paste session. You exceed the PCs memory capabilities. I've done it to my PC many times - don't worry about it. If you are having a major Copy/Paste session it is worth rebooting periodically to clear things out, particularly if you have an older PC. Lx

So's mine, but it's amazing how big some of that stuff is that you shift around (especially pictures and clipart). I've noticed a particular problem with publisher. I don't do it too often now i have 1 Gig RAM on my PC, but it does still happen! Lx
