I find a largish concertian file quite good for day to day 'bunging in' - named with surnames, then a good sort out monthly into proper files ( you'll be surprised what you have found you have duplicated!) jess x

Hi you just need a lever-arch file and A4 sheets of paper, nothing expensive. I put each person on it's own sheet with all details in order. Each sheet is then put in a see through plastic sleeve with certs and photos in another plastic sleeve. and I work through each member of a family and put dividers to section off each generation. On the front of the divider I write each member with confirmed dates in ink, unconfirmed in pencil. Direct line ancestors sometimes have 6 plastic envelopes because of certs and censuses. I have a lever arch file for each main branch (father's side in one file, mothers in another) and have now got 6 files going. regards Cynthia

Hi I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are any Organization type forms to keep all your tree info in some sort of order. At the mo i have just got little note books with scribbles here and there. I could do with a bit of structure to my notes!!!! They are a mess... Mand
