i have no trouble with the 'Good' images, but lately have downloaded and saved some really bad versions. is there a way to resave them so that they can be modified using a photo program. changing the extension to jpg doesnt work.......... Ideas ? please.. Bob |

Bob, Will be interested in any replies you get to this question. Like you have no problem with good images and can open in Irfanview software which allows me to crop, rota and alter the quality of the images etc. But the free images do not save the same way and usually can not open them at all so end up printing them off straight away. You can save the djvu file as a bmp file . In the djvu viewer choose export to file and there is option there |

Bob, I normally save the file to my desktop as a djvu file whilst viewing it on the 1837 site. Then when I am off line I double click the djvu file to open it in the djvu viewer, this has the option File/Export to file and then I can save as a bmp and edit the file, clean it up etc If you are viewing on the 1837 site then just right click anywhere on the image and you should get the menu to File/Export to file Fred |

Fred, once again you are a winner, thanks for the BMP tip, that works a treat regards, and thanks also to Maureen, Bob I have a folder labeled 1837 files, and that is subdivided up into familyname folders I just dump any pages into the 1837 folder as I save them, and relabel them later.......into their correct folders....... |
