Have just found a great match on here, Let me giv you some background Jamed Colwood, born abt. 1799 Shrophsire. And there are lots of different spellings going backwards to a marriage under COALWOOD in 1777, do you think I can claim this as my link?

Tom, I would assume they were all yours. If in the future you find any evidence to the contrary you can always edit your tree. I have many pre 1800 people in my tree I assume are ancestors of mine because of dates and places are consistant with other info I have but there is no way at this time to prove one way or the other that I have the right people. Stacey, IGI is on the familysearch.org site (free). It can be useful as it holds SOME pre 1837 registration records. However, some of the info on there is submitted by members and so can be very iffy. Back to Tom - Id hold on to these people myself but Id want a good bit more back up to know they were mine.
