Searching for info on my gg uncle Richard (Dick) Henry T Walsh, born in March quarter 1896, Calstock Cornwall. At some point he moved to Australia, married May & had children. It was prior to 1952 when my mum was born as she never met them. I would say approx 1920's/30's. The only bit of correspondance we have from them is stamped Victoria. My gran recieved a letter saying he had died in 1984 just as she was about to write to them letting them know my g gran had died. I think there was approx 10 days between their death. I have no one in the family I can ask to find out more & have sort of hit a brick wall. I'm sorry I can provide such little info any help anyone can give is gratefully recieved. Clare xx

Hi Have you not got any earlier info for him? I have found his Birth info for his certificate if you need that..... I could also see if I can find him on 1901 census..... or are you after later info? Lesley :~)

Thank you Loopy but I have his birth info & he doesn't seem to be on the census. I think he may of been in the forces (possibly navy) but I don't really know as we have very little info to go on... Clare

Are you sure he's not on the 1901 census? There's a Richard Henry Walsh aged 5, born St Stephens, Cornwall, living in Devonport.
