Hi Guys, Ok, I have the BDM index details of the Birth and death of a child (Died aged 1 in 1874) is there anyway i can find out the parents name without sending off for one of those certifacates? Thanks. Mark.

Mark you could try searching the parish records on the familysearch site to see if the child was christened. Georgina.

Not really, unless you get lucky with something like FamilySearch (which isn't always correct anyway). Kate.

The little info i have is that the child was christened. But still dont know the parents names???? (trying to find out if the child is related thats all)

It would have been in Warminghurst Sussex i have a date of 5th oct 1873 for the christ........... One piece of info i have the middle name is spelt as Rosa Allen.....but it should be Rosa Ellen. Hope that helps. Mark.
