Many thanks. It looks like they've read the same book that I did, lol. Have to go dentist now, will try and pop in to the local records office and see if they have any newspaper archives for that period. Many thanks again for your help :) Bex

Does anyone know any sites which would help me verify who died in a shipwreck in 1908 please? Apparently my Great Great Grandad's brother Thomas Rowe, and his sister's husband Edward Murt, set sail on Boxing Day 1908 in the SS 193 'Pendeen' for Bassett's Bay (wherever that is) along with another ship the 'Doris'. Only the Doris returned, and no trace of the Pendeen or her crew were found. I found these details in a book by Edward Murt's grandson, but after much 'googling' i cant find any other reference to the sinking of this ship. I would love to verify this info. Can anyone help please? Many thanks, Bex
