According to the 1891 census and Ancestory records, Joseph Lenton was born in the area of Holborn in the July-September quarter of 1890 to parents Joseph and Emily Lenton. His name does not appear on the 1901 census, (when he would have been aged 11 years?) so I presumed he must have died in the intervening years. However, I have searched through the Ancestory death registry between the years 1891 and 1901 but I can not find him. Can someone please check for me to see if I have missed something? I am normally quite diligent in my searches so I find it hard to believe I've missed him... but you never know.... Many thanks |

Have you found his parents on 1901 census? |

Thank you for your replies Yes Theresa, I think the Joseph 'Linton' entry is the one I'm after. Obviously the death certificate will prove it one way or another. He would have been my Great Uncle. So many of his siblings died young, it must have been heartbreaking for my Gt Gt Grandparents. He was my last 'missing link ' of that generation and I can now start looking for where they are all buried. Hopefully, there will all be nearby to each other. Thanks again Lyndsey |
