There are three people on one page of the marriage I am looking for did the man commit bigamy. Anyone know why this is so. Marriage in question Sarah Annie Halliday Dec 1904. There are two woman and one man. On my granfather's marriage there is only him, but I knew who he married so that was no problem.

and when there is 4 on a page they are listed alphabetical so some times still hard to tell who married who Jeanette

There are many times you will find an odd number of people,several times my rellies appear on pages with 5 or 7 names only. At least with pre 1901 marriages you can narrow it down with a census look up,you only come unstuck if your rellie married say an Elizabeth and there are two or more Elizabeth brides on the bmd index,or a William or George,as they were very common christian names.
