Hi, i downloaded a marriage for someone i believe jumped ship from London, hoping that it would tell me his parents to confirm but doesnt. I have also found his death, if i get it will it tell me how old he was? The parents names dont match anything i have, but all the names from London are related so im pretty definate he is one of mine. Many thanks

Have you got the actual certificate? Or are you reading details from a website? I have some Australian certificates and they are pretty comprehensive normally. What part of Oz was your rellie from? Cheers, Horatia PS A death certificate should have his age on it.

Hello Robyne, I've downloaded a couple of Australian death certificates and they have been full of information but, as with other death certificates, it depends on how much the informant knows. You should find out his age, what he died from, his address at the time, where he was buried and who buried him, where he was born, how long he had been in Australia and the names of any children with their ages and if they are living or not. Helenxx Ps: I've just checked and you might even get his parents names.
