Can I put a relatives sisters and BIL on my tree, without their parents?? Gone back to 1851 to find relatives family but she and one other sister who are then 15 and 12, are living with an older married sister and her husband. So their parents must be deceased by 1851. Am I able to do this please and if so how? Never had this kind of set up before!! Or will I just have to keep this info separate for now? Lin

I had a similar situation. I entered just the surnames of the children for mother and father. You can always edit this if you later find their full names. Rose

Thankyou Jeanette and Rosemary................. It is obvious..now you point it out......I have done that when I had no maiden names for wives. Just thought it might work differently in this case. Thanks again, apprecaited. Lin

I couldn't find anything definitive on the IGI. This might help at least with the father's name and his occupation. Marriage record Charlotte Wilson and John Chaney (spelled Chancy on the Beta image) March Qtr 1857 Vol 2a, pg 609. Once you have the father's name then you might want to check out the birth record: Name: Sarah Wilson Year of Registration: 1838 Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec District: Canterbury County: Kent Volume: 5 Page: 56 Or, you can ask for a 1841 census look up. Hope this helps. Rose
