i have a picture of an elderly man and a young boy which i think was taken around 1890ish. Now i know the name of the boy (Charles) and i believe the old man was his grandfather(?) The problem is i do not know whos son he is etc. Now there's a name on the back which is Andrews. Would this be the boys surname? If so why wouldn't it be the surname of the grandfather? thanks for any help |

Can only answer you last question and it could be the grandfather's daughter that had the child hence their surnames beig different!! xx |

Equally, someone could have had several copies made of the photograph and this was the one intended for Andrew! Victoria |

Is the name of the studio on it? There are websites around that have such old photographs on display and you ma be lucky enough to find the same faces. |
