Thanks everyone for helping me. Have just started on this family history research, and joined genesreunited. Just getting to know how the site works. It was just a general question of finding who lived in a house when the 1901census was taken. Will follow it up tomorrow. |

If you want to know who lived at an address in 1901 you can search by address on the offish 1901 site, accessible from this site. BUT you have to pay to see the results and I have never found any addresses this way. Alternatively, you can look on ancestry at the enumeration districts to see which one covers the street/road you want, and then trawl through the district page by page till you find it. I've done this in the past with some success, but it is a bit time consuming. nell |
