enable Java help required please, Problem Solved

I must be going bats, not unusual, but I was trying to order something on the net and it says I must enable java...... I have always had this enabled but Now I can't even find where to check whether I have or not....... Iternet Explorer..... Windows XP2000....... Where do I find it please?......... Thanks Kat

hi, if you use windows xp, go to control panel, then internet options, advanced and just scroll through until you see java script enable, (about half way down the list). It says requires restart. hope that helps. Joan

Hi Thats where I went to find it but 'enable java' is not there, unless it is hiding under a different name??? Kat

Thanks both but....This is making me look stupid!! THAT was where I was expecting to find it but honestly it's not there. Someone please help? kat

From Internet Options (in the Tools menu in IE) go to the Advanced tab. Look for Java (Sun) or Microsoft VM (about half way down). Ensure that either JRE or JIT have ticks at the side. If you have neither of these, you need to download Java. Google Java JRE and click the first link.
