hi can anybody tell me the best family tree maker to buy there are so many i dont know where to start or buy thanks angie

If you go to the family search site you can download the FREE PAF software. PAF stands for Personal Ancestral File. Here is the web address: http://www(.)familysearch.org/Eng/default.asp (remove brackets) At the bottom of the page you will see 'Download PAF' Cheers, Horatia

You can get a Deluxe copy of Who Do You Think You Are? Which is Family Tree Maker 2005 at www(.)play(.)com for £17.99. Free Delivery. Remove brackets. Anne

I have Family Tree maker 2006 - it cost about 30 quid on line and it is great !

Hi Angela, I had an old version 8 I think and so only needed an update 2006 version which came with free Charting companion, it cost about 20.00 from S & N genealogy supplies, pack contains 1 disc and is great. Don't go for the full version as its mostly USA resources they give you, unless of course you have lots of USA rellies. You probably need just a basic version iof its your first or if like me you have an old one just go for the 2006 update. Hope this helps. I think I looked online at S& N and they gave blurb for each to compare. Best wishes Jenny
