This is a bit complicated so bear with me. Found on my GGrandads military records as next of kin, wife and four children. As I knew of only three this was interesting. She was born in 1899, but on the 1901 census not mentioned. Put in her name only and a child of that name came up on a census with a different family, and down as adopted. Everything matched, name, age and area. Phoned for a birth cert and gave all extra details. Letter came this morning to say not the correct family. Hence the headache as i will have to think again. Hi Merry, The only way I can work it out is, my GGran died May 1898 having had a child in 1897 who i know about. My GGrandad remarried in April 1899 so i am assuming this was their child. The one I found on Ancestry was born Sept 1899. I could be wrong but that is the only one i could find. Ann
