Sent for five certificates thinking they would chip away at my brick wall but what a disappointment. First of all they came one at a time. The first to arrive was not my ancestor, Then a marriage certificate which I needed to confirm fathers names arrived with NO parents names for either the bride or groom. Never mind I thought I have now got the maiden name of my gt gt gran that is a new branch to follow but oh no I can't find any info on her. Sorry to whine on so but I was so disappointed, also I have just done nine day without a ciggie so I am feeling sorry for myself. On the bright side I have only eight shifts to work before I retire and my fourth grandchild is due in June. Feel better now. Best wishes to you all Moping Margaret from Lancashire |

June you are a star what are you - a blooming star. Thankyou, thankyou a million times. I wondered if her age might be wrong because of the ages of her kids but I found a death date for an Ann Leay in 1879 age 56 which fit in with the age given on the census but she could have told porkies about her age or it may be the wrong Ann do you think? Anyway June thanks again bless you. regards Margaret (who is now grinning from ear to ear like the proverbial Cheshire cat) xx |
