looking for childrens home in london c 1922

hi i,m looking for a childrens home c1922, where my mum was placed, all she remembers is that it was either called laura house or was in laura place, somewhere in london, i have tried various sites but not sure that i,ve found the correct one, i think it may have been in the hackney area would appreciate help or advice marcie x |

There was a home in Hornchurch Essex which took children from London. Hornchurch is approximately 30 minutes from London. The home was called St Leonards and the houses were all called after trees one being Laurel. Does this fit. The others had names like Rose and Hawthorn and they were all situated off a long drive.
