Hi Everyone, my Half sister I had known of managed to trace me through her birth certificate, from adoption agency....(after 52 yrs!!) via this site , and my tree....after just 1 email... Totally mind blowing...we have met up twice and have not stopped talking...and want to add her to family tree, but as we have different fathers, how do we go about making her 'officially' part of our family tree as it were..? Do we need to start another tree....? not sure what to do.. Any help gratefully accepted ! thanks pip x

First add her father down as marrying your mother, then add her as a child to that couple. Suzanne XX

Thanks for info...thing is nobody knows who Mums partner / father of our sibling is./ was ? ..it was in the 1950's out of wedlock, so hushed up as it were....Jane was adopted after 6 months...such a terribly sad thing to have to give your baby up for adoption after looking after her for all that time in secret ? Mum met our Dad 5 years later , married and then had the four of us.... Cannot get details of father as Mum died Sept last year, and Jane has no details on birth certificate ? of who her father was either... dead end...any other ideas please anyone...? thanks in advance pip
