Can anyone tell me how I can get the cheaper renewal. It's just that I read on the threads that some were just renewing whilst others were able to get it cheaper by doing something like going into particular section. I haven't had a renewal reminder and am wondering if it will go through automatically. Due date is 31st this month. Cheers Lou

Well, when mine was running out, I wrote and asked for the 10% discount newbies were getting - told not available to me - so in a huff, I didnt renew - they should send you a mail about it a couple of weeks before. I then went to the Lost Cousins website, registered for free and clicked on the ancestry logo on the right hand side and completed the details, giving a different email addy to the one I had used before with them. (I tried doing it with same one and a message came up - you are already a member). And I got the year for £55 (20% discount).

Hi Heather, Wow! that's quite a saving. It just goes to show you can save money. Thanks for the info, I'll wait a little longer and if I don't receive email, I'll try what you did. 20% is quite a lot especially when we need the dosh for certs. Thanks Lou

Great tip, Ive just tried it. If you are logged on to Ancestry, the link takes you to the full price page BUT if you log out of Ancestry and click the link you really can join for less!! Thanks Jo

Hi Jo, does that mean you were already a member and let your subscription lapse or is this the first time you've joined? Lou
