Doing what?????? Do you mean being wider?? That's because Joseanne put a load of ***** and forced the page wider....... Maybe that's not what you mean?? It looks normal otherwise to me. Merry

I wonder what on earth is happening to these threads? Very strange, isn't it? But why only Josie's? I haven't noticed it doing this in any of the others...yet!

Phoned ISLINGTON today for one, and all their registers between 1838 and 190? have been sent for rebinding. From what I've heard on here sounds like I'm in for a long wait.************************************************************************************************************************Is it better to phone GRO or order on-line? I've never used them before.****************************************************************************************************************************************Can someone answer my question below. Added by Merry Monty Montgomery (41¼) on 15/03/2006 13:19:26 Online is cheaper £7 phone is £8.50 Merry Added by Elaine Stephens on 15/03/2006 13:21:07 I have only ordered by phone once thinking it would arrive sooner but the cert I ordered online afterwards was delivered first. Elaine Added by Joseanne Campbell on 15/03/2006 13:33:23 I take it I can order on-line for a birth certificate dated 1845? I've just been on the site, clicked on Births, then clicked on obtaining birth certificates and this is what I read We now offer the facility to order certificates online, this can be used to place orders using the GRO index reference and for certificates dating from 1900 up to 18 months before the present date where the exact details are known. Added by Ann from Sussex on 15/03/2006 14:24:30 You can order any certificates from GRO from the time registration began in July 1837. Ordering online is quick, simple and efficient.

Josie Just checked your other post and at first I thought the same thing was happening to me - was just blank - BUT, when I scrolled right down, there were all the messages! Strange, but try it again and see if they are right at the bottom by scrolling down.

I posted a message 'UPDATE Oh No I've got to use GRO' and there are 4 replies. ***************But every time I click on it I can't get it up. My bar at the bottom shows loads of downloading going on of pictures then the screen goes blank. This is only happening when I click on this one, others are working fine.*************************Please can someone copy the replies and post them on here. Many Thanks Josie
