Is it possible to find out who lived in a house in, say, 1924? The house Im particularly interested in (my great grandparents) is in Bridgend, so quite a distance from my Coventry home to go and access their electoral roll.

Not for 1924, Debbie! Rebekah, You could try emailing or phoning the library who have the electoral roll. If they are only to look at one year it wouldn't take them very long at all. Most libraries are very helpful indeed, in my experience. Merry

I often have a look at places ancestors lived using the wonderful (free) facility of Google Earth. A moment ago I paid my first visit to Bridgend, South Wales. Quality of pictures can vary, visit me at Hopefield Place, Leeds for good quality pics. (London is excellent), York not so good. You ideally need broadband. I will nudge for you Your House- Pictured from Space! Try it, it's amazing Ray Whincup
