Looking for marriage of James Wigmore to Harriet.They married in Sussex about 1865 So i found 1865 Uckfield but no page number.Now I put Harriet into the same search facility as James with the year quarter district and volume and there she is Harriet Wickens!!!!!!!!!!!

thats what I usually do but for some reason it doesnt always work for me wonder why????

The trouble is that most of us are looking for the full reference to send off for the certificate and thats what ancestry are now for some reason missing out. But once we have a definite match, as you suggest, we can go to the beta and get the reference!

I think it only works if you want to find the spouse.I was wondering how we could order certs without the page number.I have been trying it out for spouse searches and have been fairly successful.

Don't forget, the part Ancestry has messed up is the data from FreeBMD, so can't you just look for it there instead?? Merry
