Increasingly, I'm being presented with names that aren't on my tree. Are these spouses of Hot matches? Does anyone know? |

I get those too Brenda - sometimes some poor hopeful soul contacts me and says is your Beatrice Bloggs born in Holborn related to .... I sit there and think, do I have a Beatrice Bloggs and have forgotten (not unusual for me lately). Have a look and nope, I dont. I then write back saying sorry dont have this person and quite often get a terse little reply from disappointed people who probably think Im holding out on them. |

Yep, I have had alien names in my hotmatches as well. (although I is so long since I had any new hotmatches that I am beginning to think I am invisible - horrah!). It does not say much for the software producing the hotmatches that it does this. Tina |

Yes, as well as all those born on the other side of the world to any of mine, I'm regularly getting some that are not on my tree at all! Anne |

I was contacted recently by someone asking about an Agnes Mead. I have some Meads, though no Agnes, so I asked for some more information. I was hopeful this could be a distant cousin connected via a marriage two or three generations earlier that I'd not investigated yet. No such luck, it was just a fishing exercise (just how many Meads are there???) Wasn't even the right country. Funnily enough, this name popped up in my last batch of Hot matches - do GR know something I don't??? |

Hi Everyone Glad I'm not the only one. I'm completely baffled by this, plus names with one match that then show two plus those who reload their trees showing as new hotmatches plus those that reload appearing twice in the list Never mind, I have made contact with about four very distant cousins this week, thanks to tree matches. |

I must be lucky, I haven't had any matches appear that are not on my tree. Yes some are not the same country, but I assume it matches names and dates not anything else. |

I had a wonderful set of three names on one Hot Match listing - sadly none of them was in my tree... Christine |

Yes. Got a Hot Match to Arthur Williter - who he, then? He isnt one of mine! Also get nine matches which then show five, or five which then show nine, or three which show just a blank page. I've given up on them. Olde Crone |
