As I wade through 6 pages of Dixons from Pennsylvania - rather than Rotherhithe - does anyone know how to stop the page returning to the first page of your hotmatches after you delete a 'match' please?

Hi Heather If you look at everything on a page, and then tick the boxes of those you want to discard, it works out quicker and less frustrating.

No. I don't think you can. Its a bit like when you delete your contacts - it takes you back to the first page every time and you can only delete one at a time. It's a colossal bore, especially if you keep getting 'This page not found' or 'HappyGenes error' as well. nell

Thanks guys, I just thought there must be a better way than this. WHY dont they listen and give the 'hot match' info instead of the contacts name on these lists. I could scream as I open each one and see they are totally useless. If they gave you the potential hot match you could discard all the Mary Ann unknowns in one go.

What I do is go down the list of hot matches checking each in turn and ticking the boxes to delete. I use my browser navigation backwards and forwards to do this. When I've finished the page I press save to delete all those I've ticked. I do get back to the 1st page - I can't see anyway around it as thats how GR have set this up. However I do find this method the easiest. Hope this helps. Rachel

Thanks Rachel - its still a pain in the butt though isnt it. Ive already got a headache from 4 hours of trawling ancestry beta for a death that doesnt exist and its just one more irritation.
