Has anyone tried this site? I had a look but it seems very complicated. Would appreciate your thoughts (if any! ) Jean

I THINK this is the site created by some Genes members who were not satisfied with the service here. They decided they could do better and started that site. I'm not being critical - have never tried it. I think they aim to REALLY LISTEN to their members, but not sure how many members they have. Anne

Name rang a bell with me, so I looked in my book and sure enough it's there with my log in name and password. I'll have to take a look at the site again as I can't remember what it was like.

Great start that was. It didn't accept my user name and password, and then didn't recognise the email address I used when I registered. But I do remember it, though it has changed as you could scroll to the bottom of the page and click the bmd rosette I think it was, and search & enter for free. I put a few birth & marriage certificate info on it. Maybe they knock you off if you don't join full after a while.

Yes, some of you have said that it is a site created by old members of Genes. I was a member, don't know if I still am ! ? .,. so can only speak from experience. It was a VERY friendly site, the chat room was hilarious, but it only had the one 'room' so to speak and a lot of people found it difficult to join in and keep up with the speed of the conversation !!. I and others who are still on this site, were all members of the two sites at the same time. If you can get in, then give it a try ....they ARE a friendly lot ... and the bloke who runs it (if its still running) WILL reply to your query as soon as possible. It is run by members for the members, so you get a say on what goes on. What they do NOT tolerate is, swearing, arguments, or conversations that could cause unrest or unease. The conversations are policed by members. Unlike this site, there was never a bad word spoken - no fall outs - no feeling indimidated etc. Actualll;y, I'll go and see if its still running - and if my membership is still valid. Elaine ;-)

I see you can pay your membership via paypal with this site,are there anymore genes sites you can use paypal? Would make it easier as im in Australia

Had a reply to my e-mail Apologies for difficulty I had, they set up my account manually so I could get in straight away. Tried it and it works. Certainly cam across as friendly and prompt. Jean
