The official site for Scottish Census results is Scotland's People (http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/). It currently has 1851-1901 with 1841 to be added soon. To cover part of their costs and prevent trivial use it is a pay-as-you-go service. Current prices are £6 for 30 units. Index searches cost 1 unit each. Images of 1851-1871 and 1891-1901 census records cost 5 units each. Transcripts of 1881 records cost 1 unit. Not free, but not too expensive either. |
