Thanks all who have replied with help. I think I will go for another account. Ellen.

Ellen I have three accounts on here under my same email address - one paying and two non-paying. I've got my birth tree, my adoptive tree and my husband's tree. Of course, this is slightly different to your situation, because it's 'your' tree but it's your mother who was adopted and not yourself. Janet Interesting to read your reply, and that seems like a really good idea. Might play around with trying that myself! Mandy in Somerset

Ellen, I think you can do it by adding an imaginary partner for yourself, and then work backwards up that tree, adding the other set of parents and further details as family members of the 'partner' jay

Thankyou Rachel, would I have to pay for another account to do this ?

Unfortunately on here you can't. You would need to have 2 accounts, one for the birth family and another for the adopted family. You can use the same email address but you need a different password.
