Hi It may be that my Dads uncles ( one on his Dads side and one on his mums) served in the same REME regiment in the war. Does anyone have an idea/website of how I could possibly check this out? I really don't know where to start - have looked at a few `REME' sites just now and none of them appear to have that kind of info on them Thanks! |

Names are Fred Carr and Jack Wright - The only details I have are that Fred was definitely in the 'REME Workshop Company(?) - probbly Lincolnshire regiment? I know that Fred was in France as he helped design a bed for severly burnt and injured service men which helped save hundreds of lives. |

REME is a corps in its own right and was formed in Oct 1942 If Fred was in France with REME it must have been after 6 Jun 1944 which may help narroe things down. |
