Schoolgirl error but can I cancel an online cert o

I can't believe I did this but I have ordered the wrong birth, death and marriage cert for an individual in my tree - It was done online on 25th Feb.... can I cancel an order?

Hi Diana, From ONS FAQ's Q23. Can I cancel or amend my order once I've made it? There is no facility to cancel or amend an order once it has been placed. Orders feed directly into our production process, leaving us unable to stop the system. We apologise for the inconvenience Debbie

Damn!! Thanks for letting me know!! I have sent them an email requesting cancellation but I am guessing they'll say no can do!! :O( Can't believe I have the wrong person for everything!! :O( Hey she may still be family!! GUTTED!! xx

Pink Diana It's a nuisance, but we've all done it. I once got enraged when the GRO sent me an e-mail saying they couldn't supply a cert and when I checked I'd put the wrong quarter down! nell

I didn't cross reference the wedding Nell!! DOH!! Right name, right age, right area, just wrong bl**dy person!! Mind you I think this person married a WARDLE too as her daughter went to live with Grandparents and surname of Grand-daughter is WARDLE!! But the daughter was born after my Sarah had died and the Grandfathers first name is wrong!! It was pure boredom when couldn't sleep last night that made me play and see what i could find!! Never make the same mistake again that's for sure!!

Diana So easy to make mistakes late at night, but hopefully this is one you won't make again. You never know, you might have ordered 3 certs which will be of interest to someone else on GR! nell

I have emailed them so hopefully they will respond and play nice.... if the right person gets it they could say they couldn't find them!! :O)
