Is any one familiar with this software? I have found it very useful, but am frustrated by the fact that I can't show a tree with all ancestors and families on it. I can only view direct descendants from one ancestor or my direct ancestors say. Very frustrating. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is it just not possible with Rootsweb? |

I presume you mean RootsMagic and not Rootsweb. Go to Reports, Charts, Wall Charts and make your selection there. Regards Ron www.genealogyprinters(.)com |

Yes did mean Rootsmagic. Thanks Ron, but you can never print out all the branches with this software. it will only show direct ancestors if I start with myself...not all the siblings of grandparents etc. Or if you start with the oldest ancestor..it will only show his descendants. |

Christine, if you choose narrative reports, then ancestors with children (second option) and start with yourself, it will show all direct ancestors, first as parents and then again with their siblihgs as children of the next generation back. At least it will in Rootsmagic 3 . Hope I have put that clearly, it would be easier to show you! Roger :) |

About the only thing you can't do in RootsMagic is create a chart with everybody on it, well not easily anyway. Regards Ron www.genealogyprinters(.)com |
