I have been looking for a birth of a Beatrice (could be Beatrix) Caroline Richards between 1885 and 1902. Cannot seem to find one or any mention in a census record, mother and father were Louis and Jane Richards. Birth could possibly be in the Ratley/Birmingham area of Warwickshire. Any help anybody can give would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks in advance, Jayne

So did you find the rest of the family in the 1901 - or none of them at all? How do you know about her? If you go to the familyrelatives site, you can search the whole of the possible time span (why those years?) with the event and name (only use ONE first name on familyrelatives). It will bring up every possible match.

Louis Golby wasa soldier in Woolwich and he was her brother. The father was William Flavel Ricahrds but think he was dead by 1901. So maybe just Jane Richards born in Ratley would be alive then as a head with Beatrice but cant seem to find them. Hope this helps. Jayne

right so if this is the brother in 1901 Name: Louis Gonlby Richards Age: 16 Estimated birth year: abt 1885 Relation: Soldier In Barrack Rooms Household: View other family members Gender: Male Where born: Banbury, Warwickshire, England Civil parish: Woolwich Ecclesiatical parish: St John Town: ?? County/Island: London Country: England then if we could find him in 1891 we would have more details to find mother / sister ...............maybe !!

Do you know any other siblings names? And Louis is definitely her brother not her father?

Esta, The births of Ratley etc all fit in, and there is a relative moving forward that has the name Helena as her middle name and we have been told the father died in the Boar War? Not sure when this was though so it could be her the mother Jane (Janes) but perhaps Beatrice wasnt born by then. Thanks again. Jayne

Hi Jayne There is a birth of a Beatrice Caroline Richards in Dec 1893 in Farnham district, which would be quite close to Aldershot, if you think that is the right family. Ref. is 2a 101 if you need it. Carolyn
