Anyone know how to stop Genes Reunited putting my replies into my own email site? I had 85 at one stage and another 10 new messages in Genes Reunited site. I've given up with them, they're just NOT replying. HELP!! Thanx! |

GR only send you notification of messages to you inbox, not the actual replies. They also send you updates such as hotmaches and a summery of new names added and news letters. You can stop newsletters, updates and hotmatches being sent to you from your account options on the menu to the left. BUT you can't stop the notification of new messages and replies. They are sent to let you know that you have a message waiting, all you need to be is delete them or ask you email provider to block them. |

Take the Genes addy OUT of your safe contacts list .... that way all communications from Genes go into your Junk Mail folder and you can delete them in bulk. I never read the Genes messages, I just see they have arrived, delete them all, then come to message box on genes to read the INBOX one's. Elaine ;-) |

Rita, I have a large number of names that I'm looking at ( about a dozen main ones from large families) and am luckey if I get a message a month from contacts and that includes people who are not on this site through my personal emails. The number of cantacts you get is probally linked to alot of intrest in the names your researching. Alot of my names are rare and there are not many people looking for them so I get less contacts. |
