Am I correct in my assumption that renewal subscription to Ancestry is automatic unless cancelled before the renewal date?Hope that makes sense. Sue |

Yes you are correct but they should send you a reminder and you can cancel Zoe |

Thank you Zoe. Another question, does anyone know if they are prompt answering queries via e mail? I seem to have become a guest on the site all of a sudden, and no amount of time fiddling about changing password will allow me to access the data. Sue |

have you tried turning off your computer, turning it on again and trying to log on? if it doesn't recognise you or your password, have you checked your cookies (the bit which allows internet sites to recognise you? |

Its been happening to a lot of us lately - I do think something is in the wind - hopefully the 1841. I mailed them about it but before I could even get a reply it had sorted itself out. |

Another tip call them on their free UK customer service number: 0800-404-9723, but not sure if this line is open at the weekend, otherwise from 9-7 each work day. I called them yesterday from Germany and they were extremely helpful and renewed my subscription immediately. Ancestry had misread a mail I had sent them and cancelled my subscription. The normal procedures is Yes they automatically send you a mail regarding renewal - which in my case did not happen. Hope this is of some help. Elizabeth |

Something that has worked for me in the past. At the login screen, click on the forgotten password link. They will send you a temporary access link by email. After clicking this link, you will be at another login page, but you will find a link on the screen to go to the data |
